When's Terrarium going to work?

By that i mean - being able to add your own creatures into the game.

Or has Terrarium died out now
I only discovered this last week and find it fascinating! Built my first test creature and disappointed that I cant see it being eaten by Naka + Mari.
Does the server get reset every now and again

    Hi Dkoccur,

    I have several co-workers that are interested in joining your Terrarium server. We are currently starting to write code under C# coming from a java background. I ran into the Terrarium home page while doing some reading on C# and was very intrigued. It seems I missed out on all the fun =(

    Anyways, I'm having a problem trying to get fully connected to your server. The client is saying that it's waiting for animals to be teleported from other peers and just kinda sits there.

    I'm running behind a NATing firewall and from the FAQ it seems they want me to open port 50000 (fifty thousand), but for some reason my firewall doesn't seem like like going that high. Is that number correct I'm guessing that's my problem but if you could shed on light on this I would most certainly appreciate it.

    Thanks and I look forward to developing some critters to run around on the system!

    Hi Dan.  Yes, the port is 50000 (fifty thousand).  I'm surprised your firewall won't accept it.  Valid port numbers are between 0 and 65535.  Contact the manufacturer of the firewall and see what help they can offer.  Maybe they'll have an update   Good luck and I hope to see some critters from you soon.

    Microsoft's Terrarium server hasn't functioned correctly for, hmmm, it's been so long I can't remember.  I'm running a public Terrarium server at www.davidandangela.ws/Terrarium.  I'd be happy to have another client as there are only a few clients running right now (only one or two at a time, I'd like to get it up to at least ten.)  Currently Mari is the top carnivore but Naka's not been added.  I'd like to keep it that way.  A symbiotic pair is just too hard to overcome.

    Hi Skute.  I've seen at least one of your critters on my server.  I assume this is a recent problem   I fixed a bug in my Stats Viewer this weekend.  Unfortunately, my server is my development machine is my...  Every time I work on Stats Viewer it seems to interfere with the Terrarium Server (I think its in part due to not having enough memory).  It all seems to be working fine now, but I'll check my logs tonight to see if I can figure out what the problem was.  Please try it again and let me know how it goes.

    I contacted Linksys and did the online help thing with someone who apparently didn't know much about routers. So it appears my port forwarding part of the router is toast, but another feature is port triggering which I managed to get working.

    So I managed to connect to your server and watched a few critters crawling around. Now it's time to dig into some code and see what I can produce. Thanks for the response and for having this server running, I was just about to give up on this.
