New to deploying applications. I created a setup project and it seems to be working for the most part but with a couple little glitches.
I need to write a registry value that is the path to the application's database. Easy enough when it installs to the default location, but how do I access the location the user selected if they pick a different install location and then write THAT location to the registry
Also, I followed the directions (3 times) for creating a shortcut to the application on the user's desktop. The problem is that the shortcut goes to the folder for the application and it tries to install again instead of running the application. If I manually create a shortcut to the actual exe file, the app runs fine.
