Tabs Voluntarily Rearrange Themselves...

I've heard of lots people with this problem, but I've never seen an official (or unofficial, for that matter) reason, work-around, or bug confirmation for it.

My tabs in my application randomly rearrange themselves randomly in debug mode somewhere between F5'ing, saving, and closing/opening Visual Studio.

I can go into the collection in the tab properties and arrange them back the way they belong, but then 15 minutes, an hour, a day later, they've rearranged themselves again in some different order.

I've noticed the first tab and the last tab never move...just the ones in between.  Sometimes it's only one tab that moves three, four, five positions away, sometimes several of them trade places.  I now have my tab names numbered in the collection to make putting them back in order quicker.

Any help, suggestions, etc., would be great.  Could Microsoft at least acknowledge this as a bug so we can get some support on it   This is happening in Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional, Visual Basic, if that helps.

Thanks,
CP

    David,

Yes, the TabControl, sorry I wasn't specific.

I just tried posting a bug there, right before you replied, and it only gave me the option to select the newer versions of Visual Studios (2004, 2005), and not VS.NET 2003 as one of the options, so I didn't submit it.

    Any other ideas

    Thanks,
    CP

I'll just clarify that you are talking about the TabControl right I have experienced the same thing, if you could reproduce it. post a bug report on the Microsoft Product Feedback Center.

I went to check the status of this reported bug, and MS listed it as "Resolved as not duplicated". Figures, doesn't it

    Will do.

Well I experienced using Visual Studio 2005 just yesterday, so it is still around.

And although they don't allow use to select previous versions, as the error is still occurring post it anyway.
