Does anyone know if the Design Pattern Framework (www.dofactory.com) is any good Also, do they ship you a hard copy of the book or do you only get access to the digital copy
While not exactly a design patterns book Developing Application Frameworks in .NET is a great book that introduces real world usage of many common design patterns in application design. I think it would be a great start for someone new to patterns. You can then move on to some more specific book broadening your knowledge and see how you can apply the new patterns you learn in the real world.
To many patterns books assume the reader alreay has a solid grasp of fundametal OO principles and appication design.
