How do I get my free e-books?

I downloaded, installed and registered the beta editions before Nov. 7th. I have yet to get an e-mail though telling me how to access my free e-books. I have a benefits page where I can download icons and pictures but nothing about e-books. Anyone know what's going on Thanks.

Does anyone know if there is a free way to contact Microsoft on this problem so I can access the e-books I especially wanted to read the VB one so I can get started on programming some of my own applications.

Since no one is replying I'm guessing everyone else has their e-books If so how did you exactly get to them

Chris, are you still looking into the problem Because I have yet to get my e-books. Please, someone, anyone, help! Tongue Tied

I also have this problem. All I get is Iconbuffet, Corbis, n software IPWorks! and Webplanner 2005. At first there were only three benefits, then after a couple of days a fourth one appeared as well.

Hmmm, i'm not sure about that one - i did it the web way.
so what exactly happens when you register the CD version - do you need a code at all or is it already there
Did you need to register your program

(By the Way - what program are you using )

Glynnder, with the CD version you never need to put a code in or register even though it does give you the option to register and I did that and filled out the form. That's when you get an e-mail with links to things such as the training videos and your benefits portal. Nothing that seems to lead to e-books though. It seems many people have been having the same problem as I so I hope we can figure out what is going on with all of us having the problem.

Thanks for the reply Chris. When I log into the Connect page I see no options for e-books. What am I missing here Thank you.

Glynnder, I never recieved a registration code because when you register with the CD version that you download in IMG format you don't get one according to what people from Microsoft are saying. I do get an e-mail to my benefits portal but there is nothing about e-books there. So is it only people that don't do the CD install that get access to e-books That would be very frustrating if that is indeed the case.

once you have recieved your registration code in your email, and after you have registered the product, you should recieve another email with a link in it, in this link is the corbis image studio, the icons etc... and the e-books should be there also.

Sorry for the delay.  If you've already registered, go to http://connect.microsoft.com and log in.  If not, you should be able to register by clicking Help -> Register Product from within your version of Express.

I'm having the same problem.  I've successfully downloaded, installed, and it's up and running.  As far as I can tell, I've successfully registered the product and logged in...

Yet, there's no links, buttons, etc, to get the ebooks, the icons, etc.

  • The YoYoMan

I'm looking into the problem.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  Registered users of the IMG files should get access to the same benefits as registered users of the downloaded product.
