This isn't really relevant but does anyone know any free software (downloadable) that lets you creat icons to save as the ico. format or atleast save jpegs to ico.

    No express doesn't have that option

    The best one is probably microangleo, which works as free trial. Otherwise there are lots of runners' up in second place, as usual, google is your friend.

    In VS2005:

    Right click on project: add/new item/ Choose icon. The icon editor will open.
