1) I tried to install. Message: deinstall Microsoft SQL Server and .Net Framework 2.0 Beta 2
2) I don't have Microsoft SQL Server, but I deinstalled .Net Framework 2.0 Beta 2
3) Second try. Now I the error was at the download: no connection possible. (I don't use a Proxy or something.
4) seached in Services for the BITS. Not found in the list.
5) downloaded it, ERROR: You don't need to install because your Service Pack has a newer version or something.
6) restarted the PC
7)Now the Message 'deinstall Microsoft SQL Server and .Net Framework 2.0' comes again. Deinstalled .Net Framework 1.1 too.
8) Tried the 5th time. deinstall Microsoft SQL Server and .Net Framework 2.0...

10) Tried the 5th time. deinstall Microsoft SQL Server and .Net Framework 2.0...
11) searched in my aplications if I have any .Net applications. I found my Sharp Develop, which is using .Net Framework 1.1. I couldn't deinstall because I didn't have the .Net F. 1.1 any longer.......... :)
12) tried to reinstall .Net Framework 1.1 to deinstall Sharp Develop. Not possible.....................

Try using the automatic uninstaller of post-release softwares of VS2005. You can download it here. Or just follow the manual Instructions. Or you can try installing the manual installation of express.
