Can't create new project in Visual Basic 2005 express

I had the previous version installed of Visual Basic 2005 and I unistalled everything like the site said,
Now I will test Visual Basic 2005 Beta 2,
open a previous project, and it doesn't work at all, the program changed everything, ok too bad I think. Let's make a new project and "plop" there is an error message saying I can't create a new project because there's something missing.
What can I do about it, how do I have to work with the new version
...
I want Visual Basic 2005 beta 1 back! This was just better!
...
I tried to get it back with systemrepair but no, now he's messing it up totally!
...
I've now uninstalled everything again.
Can somebody help me with a new start Without problems and errors.. Sad

Can't create new project in Visual Basic 2005 express

    Hello !

I also have a problem with opening a new project. I can't create a new project or to be exact
I can create, but the VB express freezes and will not respond after that. No error messages
will appear. My computer fullfills all the requirements and the installing process succeeded fine.

This is the first time I have installed Visual products so there should not be any conflicts with previous versions.

I would appreciate if anyone could help me with this

    Thanks

I'm having the same issue. However, I've got 2005 running on 2 machines, and it works fine on one, but not the other. Go figure. I'm using the full blown Team Edition for Software Architects, but the behavior is the same. Click File - New Project, and that's all you get. It stops responding from there.

    Ruben -

Could you provide more information about exactly what you are seeing   What is the text of the error messages you see   What part of VB Express is working, and what parts give errors.

As you've probably notcied on the forums, there are a number of problems with upgrading from Beta1 to Beta2 caused by either uninstalling in a slightly incorrect order, or by settings you changed in Beta1 that were not cleaned up when you upgraded.  We are trying to understand all of the problems so that we can provide troubleshooting tips, and so that we can make sure there are not these types of problems with the fianl product.  Any help you could give us with information about your problem would be very much appreciated.  You can open a  bug at http://labs.msdn.microsoft.com/productfeedback/ to make sure your problem is looked at ASAP.

I had this issue after installing some of the starter kits. I then noticed that my network was doing more than usual...so I left it for a while. After (VERY slowly) discussing something with my server (about 50-100kB worth, which took several minutes), the new project dialog came up. After that, the new project dialog appears as normal (no hang)
