I have sqlserver2000 and VS.NET 2003 and Net Framework 1.X installed on my machine.
Should I also deinstall all of these And how will this installation effect the existing applications (all work with sqlserver2000 and Net Framework 1.X) on my machine

Yea that's a bit misleading.
You do not have to uninstall SQL Server 2000, Visual Studio 2002/2003 or .NET Framework 1.0/1.1. These products run happily side-by-side with the new versions.
