Situation:
Visual Studio Web Developer 2005 Express Edition with SQL Server 2005 Express Edition.
I added SQLDataSource to a .aspx page.
Configure data source, configure select statement, choose Advanced.
Now I should be able to choose option for Insert, Change, Delete records, but the options are not available. What's going wrong

configure SQLDataSource

Hi!
Thanks for asking! I'm a member of the ASP.NET team, and was just popping over here to see what was going on. The best place to ask ASP.NET questions is over on the ASP.NET forums at
http://www.asp.net/welcome.aspx tabindex=1&tabid=39There is a specific forum on the ASP.NET forums for SQL and SQL express, so you'll more likely be able to find your answer there more quickly!

Hi There
Hey Olaf
I did this Walkthrough (Walkthrough: Editing and Inserting Data in Web Pages with the DetailsView Web Server Control)........ It contains (SQLDataSource) exactly what you are having Trouble With..... The First time it Worked Perfectly... It Executed Pretty As Sin......It Added, Changed, and Deleted as Advertised.....
I started Messing with It and somehow messed Up (SQLDataSource)...... I deleted the Control and dragged on a new copy of it.... I tried to Configure it as before and encountered the Grayed Out Advanced Method(Your Problem)...... After Much Time and Pain I concluded the Wacky Wizard Fails after the firstRun... Solution Below....
Click on the Control and look to the bottom right which Displays the Properties.... Scroll through them and set TRUE to Insert, Delete, and Edit...... Voile You are Up and Running Pretty as Sin.....
Cheers
