You can cheat.
Set your clock back a month, fire up the "expired" beta, then set your clock back to current time. (At least it works for me.)

I think why they distribute a version that is expired is a question for Computer Shopper to answer.
The download of the released, non-expiring version has been available since 7th of november 2005.

Yep, I'd guessed as much. It begs the question why distribute something that's already time expired
Thanks.

Same answer - download the full version, which is still free.

Perhaps you can help with this I have a copy of Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition that came free with the June edition of Computer Shopper. I installed this on my PC yesterday, a fresh install, and opted to register later - its a Beta version that has a 30 day period. the install was slow, but there were no problems until I came to run it, only to be told the Beta period had expired and I could safely uninstall it.
Any ideas

The key word here is 'beta'. All betas expire. The full version of VBEE does not exire, you should download it, uninstall the beta and install the final release.
