I was walking through one of the ASP.NET 2.0 documents online (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp url=/library/en-us/dnvs05/html/asp2local.asp) and noticed the Tools | Generate Local Resource menu option was not there. After poking into the menu customizations, I added it to the Tools menu but it appears to always be disabled. It occurred to me that maybe it was unavailable in the EE. Can anyone confirm/deny

Does Visual Web Developer support Generate Local Resource?

Hi!
Thanks for asking (and answering your own question ;) )! I'm a member of the ASP.NET team, and was just popping over here to see what was going on. The best place to ask ASP.NET questions is over on the ASP.NET forums at

In short, EE doesn't support the Generate Local Resource, but it does support resource files. You just have to do everything manually.
