Extracting and installing of IMG-Files

Hello!

I want to know if it is possible to extract the IMG-Files with IsoBuster and than to copy all the files on a DVD

I only ask because i can extract the image files and install it from the hdd but i don't know if i can copy the files on the DVD in the folder for example VisualCSharp and install it from there.

Another question: I read in the web that visual C++ don't have an IDE. You have to install the IDE separatly. Is that right or does only have the beta the IDE separate

Please help me!

The videos are under the "learning resources" section of Vis. Web Dev, VB and VC# pages.

The answer to the original question is YES. I extracted all the express images to separate folders, along with the video tutorials, and some SDK's. and have them all burned to DVD's (multiple copies of the one DVD, for co-workers). I've installed the complete Express package on two computers using the DVD. Just go to the individual language/environment directory and run the setup.exe.

    Hello,
I have Win 2K Machine that I am trying to install VB Express on. I have extracted all of the files using ISOBuster and burned them to a CD. However if I try to run setup.exe eithe on the CD or the Hard drive the installer comes back with 'A problem has been encountered while loading the Setup Components' and setup aborts.   Any ideas

I don't know about the DVD question, although I imagine it can be done. Might as well try it.

As for C++ and IDE,  yes the IDE is included.

Do you have the latest version of Windows Instller, and why would you be using Windows 2000 for development anyway Why not Windows XP

Why not write all the cd images to a dvd and then mount them using a virtual drive (when needed)

    Like daemon tools for example.
