SQL Server Express Installation Problem

Hi,

I am trying to install SQL Sever Express and it gets hanged at the stage "detecting installed IIS...." I have correctly installed Visual Basic 2005 Express edition. I have Windows XP Sp2 OS and correct version of .Net framework. I tried the installation many times since yesterday with IIS installed and not installed. But everytimes it gets hanged at the above stage.  Please help me out from this.

Thanks
Prasad

    The step during installation is : Detecting Installed IIS

    The log SQLSERVER_WI.log has the following entries:

    PerfTime Start: CheckIIS : Sun Nov 13 22:25:56 2005
    <Func Name='CheckIIS'>
    Action 22:25:56: CheckIIS. Detecting Installed IIS
    MSI (c) (C4!AC) [22:25:56:687]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding IISCHECKED property. Its value is '0'.
    MSI (c) (C4!AC) [22:25:56:687]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding SqlASPNETInstalled property. Its value is '1'.
    Skipping RS Feature Dependency Check
    <Func Name='GetXMLAttributeValue'>
    Error to find XML node /configuration/system.web/compilation
    <EndFunc Name='GetXMLAttributeValue' Return='2' GetLastError='0'>
    Failed to get ModuleID_RS_Server when getting the ASP Temp directory.

    Please let me know if anyone has the solution for this.

    Thanks,
    Prasad

    Yeah, I'm having the same problem and I've removed every last vestige of beta builds of SQL Server Express or otherwise.  But I still keep getting the message that some Beta components are still installed.  I don't know where they could be though!
