  No, I'm saying that you can buy expensive, third party tools that create stand alone exes.

  I don't even know what the programs are called, they are hard to google. However, I've seen them, and I think they are a spectacularly bad idea, as well as being *really* expensive ( $10k+, from memory ). If you want apps that don't require .NET, use C++.
