I also get this error. It is easy to reproduce. In windows XP just log in as one user, and bring up explorer. Then switch users to another and try bringing up explorer. It may not be a VC++ problem, but it definitely is a Microsoft problem.
Explorer version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519
Update Versions: SP2
Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 SP2 on Athalon Emachine
and Windows XP home Edition Version 2002 SP2 on Dell Pentium 4
If you are the first to log in life is good....

This is not a VC issue. It could be other applications. I this used to work, consider recent applications that you installed and try isolating the problem.

It would be great if you can contac the microsoft support office in your area. I am sure they can help dealing with such issues.

The better advise is to track why the error started reproducing now and not before. I would then contact the owner of the application producing the error since they will for sure have more details.

Ayman,
From what I can gleam from your website, contacting the Microsoft support office will cost UK Pounds 35. There must be others out there who have encountered this problem and can provide advice No better advice to follow
