You can but you need to tick the show all settings box and then find the startup options under help. Change the At Startup option

Thank you all and a Merry Christmas

Thanks for the feedback.  Our goal is to have lots of fresh content so you see great new content every week, maybe every day.

If we can't do that then we could look at an option like you suggest for the next version.

    Best,

    Paul

You should be able to ignore this message and just go on to open a project or whatever you want to do. I don't have access to VB Express at the moment, but if memory serves me correctly you can also turn this off in Tools | Options.

    Thanks you guys.
Now have VB 2005 Express start up with 'The last loaded solution'
I don't see the point of the Start up page when the News isn't updated.
    Thanks again - Steep

This is from the Visual Basic Express Help.

To customize the news section of the Start Page

    1. On the Tools menu, click Options.

    2. Expand Environment and then click Startup.

    3. In Start Page news channel, enter a new RSS feed URL.

    4. Click OK.

Now when you click options the Options Dialog box shows up, at the bottom left corner check the Show all Setting check box, then click Environment.

In the News Channel URL text box I pasted in http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/rss.xml

    I hope this helps.
