Design View Problem

Hello,

I  just installed the Express Developer 2005-Beta 2(Web applications) and I have the following problems:
  1. On design view the web controls are not visible.
  2. I can't drag and drop web controls in design view, from the toolbox
I have a server 2003.

Please advice,

    I'm having the same problem:

    1. Visual Web Developer Express 2005
    2. Windows XP Professional

    No controls appearing in the toolbox in either Design or Source view. I've attempted resetting the Toolbox and Importing User Settings with no effect. I had previous BETA versions installed, but I followed the instructions for uninstalling posted at the Web site before installing.

    I am using VWD Beta 2 and having the same problem.
    I have tried everything, removing SQL Express, .NET Framework 2.0 manually in the right order I believe and using the removal tool. Nothing has fixed toolbox problem yet. Only tools shown (not greyed) are under HTML toolset. All others are not usable.

    This problem started after I installed SQL Express June CTP.

    Hey!  I've not seen that before, but I'm curious what's going on here.  Have you tried to do a re-install yet   Also, do you see anything in the toolbox, or is it completely empty

    I tried everythink, even this removal utility, but nothing.

    It happened to me once and I don't know how it worked again. In fact I think I was trying to drag a custom control that had a problem, thus it ws not showing in the frame. But if you say that it happens for any tools...

    Yes uninstall and re-install, but nothing. The toolbox is fine.

    For information on how to fully uninstall Beta1 prior to installing Beta2.

    I get the same thing.  My toolbox will work for a while, and then suddenly, the tools will no longer show up when I drag and drop them onto the design view page.  Sad

    Clarification:  I DO see the tools in the toolbox, it's just that they don't appear when dragged/dropped onto the page.
