Can not register: IE does not aunch.

Hi, after installing and using the Visual C++ Express Edition I wanted to register it. I clicked on the provided link "Microsoft Visual Studio registration website" and... nothing happens.

Then I searched the forum and did the following:
- signed in at passport.net
- updated my profile at profile.microsoft.com and verified my email address at hotmail
- made IE the standard webbrowser
- setted the security options of IE to 'low'
- restarted afterwards the browser

Again I clicked on the provided link "Microsoft Visual Studio registration website" and... nothing happens.

Do you have any suggestions to solve my problem (except trying Eclipse) Maybe there is an online registration Can you provide the url of the registration link

edit: I'm using XP Home Edition, SP2, I'm online, I deactivated my firewall.

many, many thanks for your quick and professional help. It was quite difficult to select the right answer from the lot of friendly post.

The solution is: deinstall VC Express, install it again. At end of installation process a windlow pops up with the hint concerning the need of registering VC Express. The hereby embedded link works. The above mentioned settings of ones system may be helpful.
