I would make sure that you have the correct permissions to install the product, you will need to be a power user on the machine (Or a local Administrator). You might also want to check the Event log to see if there are any errors Popping up.
Also have you tried the manual Install of the system by Downloading the ISO Image and installing from there.

my OS is windows xp proffesional service pack 2.
first, i downlowd the c# from the internet : http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualCsharp/default.aspx
second, i click on setup.exe to install it on my computer.
and then, it begin and after some second it stop without error message...
