I can connect to my Team Foundation Server just fine from Team Explorer, but the Work Items, Documents, Reports, and --intermittently -- the Version Control folders under my Team Project all have RED X's in the corner of them and are inaccessible. The tooltip and toolbar buttons seem to suggest that it is "refreshing" (for example, the "Stop Refresh" toolbar button lights up), but the unknown activity rarely completes, and when it does, the RED X's remain.
I read another post suggesting that it may be a permissions issue, but it happens even when I'm logged on as Administrator, so I'm discounting that theory.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug of some sort
Thanks for any help!

Work Items, Documents, and Reports folders show RED X's in Team Explorer -- WHY?

Other than a corrupt installation or serious memory constraints, there should be no reason that you get a red X for the Source Control node with the RC release. Please let us know if you do see it. Thanks!

For v1, reports and documents will not work fully over the internet. You can find some discussion in the following thread.

I should also mention that something looks strange in the properties of the Work Items, Documents, and Reports folders. The Url for the Work Items folder is empty. The Url for the Documents and Reports folders contain the NETBIOS name of my Team Foundation Server, but I am accessing it remotely from the Internet, so it's not accessible by server name. For example, the Url for the Reports folder is: http://[server name]/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx. (Note that the Url for the Team Project correctly shows the DNS name of the server, which is correct.)

Thanks for the response.
We're running Beta 3 Refresh. There are no Team Explorer clients on the local network, except for on the server iteself. But, when I run Team Explorer on the server (within the VS "shell"), all folders and functions are usually available, but I've never seen everything accessible from a remote machine (over the Internet). Usually either the Reports, Documents, or both folders are unavailable, or in a perpetual "Working..." state.
