hello once again,
on install of VSTFS 2005 Beta 2 i recieve always login failed in the event log (first entry in the event log after install) on my user tfssetup who is domain admin and in the local admin group too... but the user has ALL rights on SQL 05 (on the same machine (domaincontroller) installed)
hmm any ideas

From the log file it looks like you have not started the required services in the Data Tier.
For App Tier to install successfully, you need to start the following service
Kindly check if the following services are running or not before starting the installation.

well it is a bit ridicolous cause everything is running perfect as localhost goes to sharepoint teamsite, reports, reportserver and reportserver.asmx r workin nice all services runnin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Verify if Report Server is running or not . To Do this open a Web browser and navigate to the Report Server URL (/Reports">http://<DataTierComputerName>/Reports)

http://localhost/reportserver works as well as http://localhost/reportserver/reportsevice.asmx

So I am assuming you are doing a single server install Was it a clean install I notice that the message is giving a few Sharepoint Portal Server errors.
What is the exact login error message you are getting Just trying to establish what your steps were leading up to the error.
