I have several questions.
I want to upgrade from Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - ENU (what the heck does the "ENU" mean ) to Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Developers.
Do I need to uninstall VS 2005 Pro in order to install VS 2005 Team Ed. for Soft. Developers
My installation DVD is MSDN Disc #3073 from December, 2005. The DVD came in an MSDN shipment consisting of only that DVD and a letter informing me that both VS 2005 Team Edition for Software Developers and VS 2005 Team Foundation Server Workgroup Edition were enclosed. So is Foundation Server supposed to be on the same DVD The DVD label simply says "Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Sofware Developers" with no mention of Team Foundation Server. I can find no sign of the server on this DVD. The DVD's top level directories are MSDN, Visio, VS, and VSS. Apparently MSDN = MSDN Library, VS = Visual Studio (hopefully Team Edition), and VSS = Visual Source Safe. By the way, the top level setup dialog refers to Visual Studio 2005, but makes no mention of Team System, so the whole thing is clear as mud.

You can install the Team System for Developers on top of you Visual Studio 2005. Not sure about the Foundation Server being on that DVD you are refering too. If it was on that disc it should be in a sub folder ..\VSTF.
The top level dialog can be confusing as it may say only Visual Studio 2005, but check the help and you should see your Visual Studio 2005 for Software Developers listed.
BTW, ENU is the language the disc is in. In this case ENU is for English.

Team Foundation Server Workgroup Edition is on a separate disc. If you don't have the disc, check with MSDN. Or, you can log into MSDN Subscriber Downloads and download a disc image of that disc.
As noted in the previous reply, ENU is simply our internal abbreviation for the English release. JPN = Japanese, KOR = Korean, DEU = Deutsch (German), etc.
We use the same Setup for all editions of Visual Studio 2005. All that changes is which packages are added to comprise a particular edition. All Team Editions (including Team Suite) include Visual Studio 2005 Professional and Visual Studio Tools for Office, in addition to the Team Edition software.
