I tried recording a
webtest with IE7 installed. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work as no
button clicks are recorded, only page requests. Uninstalling IE7 made
webtests function but I really like IE7 :) Is there anything I can do
to get both
IE7 beta 2 will contain a fix for the bug that causes form POSTs to not be recorded.
We are going to release a hotfix that corrects the problem some users have had with the Web Test Recorder being disabled and not recording anything at all.
The current IE7 beta releases have a bug in them that prevents form POSTs from being recorded by the web test recorder. I have been working with the IE team to make sure this gets fixed before the final IE7 release.
Is there anyway to specify what browser the web test recorder loads Can I have it load FireFox instead of IE7 I really hate to give up IE7, but am going to have to if there is absolutely no work-around.

No, the Web Test Recorder only works with IE.
