Error 1311 during installation

During install of the Team Tester edition, a message is displayed:

Error 1311.Source file not found: \\server\share\contentofcd\_15777_RTL_x86_enu_VSD_Common.cab Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Options: Retry and Cancel

The file doesn't exists - it's not in the .iso image I've downloaded.

The file to be copied from the .cab file seem to be esymp_mipsii_hlp.dll to be copied to [installdir]\SmartDevices\Debugger\bin

Retry doesn't bring you any further (of course)...

Any ideas

Yes, I did install from a network resource, but the problem was the missing CD 2 and 3 at that time. Since then, somebody has woken up and put the missing CD images on MSDN for download.

As I downloaded the DVD image instead, I did not have the problem you describe, which is a new issue. IMHO you should report it as a bug.

Hmmm...

Checked the Subscribers Download page again. I've two choices:

Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Testers - CD1 - (English)
Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Testers - DVD - (English)

CD1 approx. 600 MB, DVD appox. 3,6 GB

Text saying that if extracting to one folder, CD1 should be extracted last!

To mee this idicates, that several CD-images are missing on the download page.

I'm currently trying to download the DVD-image, but it has stopped for 2 hours at 28%...

Did you install it from a network resource
The installer won't check whether you are installing it from a remote CD drive or not.

Well - after approx. 5 hours the DVD-image download completed. And the following installation went fine.

But today there's still only one CD-image available on the download page at msdn.

Somebody should wake up!!
