Has anyone else noticed that if you double-click on the same Team Query repeatedly, it creates a copy within the project which is available to other team members
Repro:
- Open an existing Team Project
- Within Team Explorer, double click on any of the Team Queries (e.g. "Active Bugs") to make it the selected tab.
- With the tab selected, double click again on "Active Bugs"
Expected:
- Nothing, i.e. Active Bugs becomes the selected tab again
Actual:
- A new Team Query "Copy of Active Bugs" become visible and available to other team members.
Is this expected behaviour

Duplicate copies of Work Item Queries appearing in Team Explorer

I see what you are saying. I cannot reproduce this, but it sounds like the appearance of the toolbar and the corresponding shift in position of the Team Explorer is resulting in a drag/drop when you double-click. I will file a bug to see if we can get a repro.

It appears to be because the Work Item Tracking results toolbar is on a 2nd line. If I move the toolbar to the top row with the others then I do not experience the issue.
There is significant movement of the Team Explorer and Query Results tabs when the toolbar isn't on a single row.

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue you are seeing Stuart. Can you clarify what you mean by "Work Item Tracking results toolbar is on a 2nd line" Maybe provide a screenshot.
Dragging does create a copy of the query and this is a known issue.

I think the problem may be made worse because you need a different level or permissions to delete a query than you do to create it meaning users cannot clean them up. As the project admin I tend to prune the Team Queries on a semi-irregular basis.

It sounds like you may be initiating a drag. Dragging into the same container will result in a copy. Could this be the case
