TFS service/reporting account passwords

When the service accounts password expire, what points in the app/db configuration need to be updated

Our corporate IT will not allow us to "never expire" our service account passwords, but in the past, I have been unable to get a password change replicated to all the needed points in the TFS configuration to have it work correctly - we ended up reverting to the old password just to get things back up.

Can someone point me to some documentation or policy for this

In the past, I attempted to update the service account pw in the services snap-in and also then on the app tier, the identities in the IIS app pool for TFS. I also ran reporting services configuration and update the reports account with it's new password as well.

    There is actually an admin tool that we provide (TfsAdminUtil, I believe) that will help you address this issue. I could tell you all the dependencies, but it is a bit of a pain.
