Thanks Adam. That is a good news for us. I'm trying to map the work habits of our developers using VSS into equivalent in TFS.
In VSS, when I check-in a file, I usually hold the shift key and then decide whether I want to keep the file checked-out or not.
I assume the Tools -> Optipons ->Source Control->Environment option in TFS to keep file checked-out act globally. When I check-in a file, is there some action (shift key ) I can do to tell TFS not to keep the file checked-out, ie, ignore the "keep checked-out" option
Actually, take a look at "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Source Control" -> "Environment". You should see the option "Keep items checked out when checking in" on that pane.
"Keep checked out" on check-in

I don't know of a key-combination to override it on checkin, but I'll double-check that with some of the other folks here.
Cheers,
Adam
