Copying Team Project Files to local folders

  I understand that I need to manually copy the files from source but what I want is the ability to synch my project files to my local machine so I can reference them when I doing development. We are doing something similar to this in our company using sourcesafe.

  well you can do by using the sharepoint portal. All folders you see in the team explorer are just document libraries. From the website you can click the folder and select folder view. Then you have drag & drop copy from the folders back and forth.
