How to reuse a previous TS data server with a new TS application server?

I have rebuilt the TS application server because it did not install correctly the first time.  My plan was to reuse the TS data server, but I get the following message when trying to install the TS application tier:

"Setup has detected existing Team Foundation database on the specified machine.  The specified machine may already be configured to work with another Team Foundation application tier.  If you are trying to reinstall TFS please refer to the accompanying documentation on how to reuse this machine."

Where or what file(s) contain the "accompanying documentation" on how to reuse the previous TS data server with my new TS application server

Thanks,
Gary.

u must remove perious databases on SQL Server.

Team Foundation adds 6 SQL databases; 5 via the data tier install and 1 via the application tier install.  Removing all databases was not the answer.  However, I think removing BisDWDB (Team Foundation Data Warehouse) would have done it.

Since, I had removed all 6 Team Foundation databases, I had no choice but to reinstall the data tier.  However, instead of rebuilding the whole server, I just removed the Team Foundation data tier application and reinstalled it.  This was quick and seems to be working as I'm able to install the application tier.

Thanks for that Gary that tip saved me an hour or two.
My Team Foundation Database was called simply BisDB but deleting it had the same effect.
