hi all!
Before I used to familiar to track system,you know that we can config to any bug within track system be notify to the oultook. now i also want to do so with TFS, I had tryed config with sharepoint service, but i still have not get any email for notifying from others yet.
please help me if you can solve it.

when your installing TFS server it ask for email address from which mails are send to team.
In order to get mail for any bug within track system .
go to your team menu in VS IDE where u will find project alerts menu item ,click it and enter the mail id to which it has notify

The server configuration settings for Tfs "Project Alerts" is in the web.config file in the "Web Services\Services" folder. The globalemailconfig.aspx settings only apply to sharepoint notifications, not the Tfs Project Alerts for events such as checkins and workitem changes.

If the Alerts for the checkins and builds are worked, there is no problem with the e-mail server configuration, I think.
Btw, did you really checked all of the options for 'Project Alerts'
And, one more thing, what account you're using All accounts can have their own alert option. So, check the alert option for your own account(and how about the e-mail address was it correct address no mistyped character in it ). Please, check these out, and let me know.

Hi,
If you installed TFS correctly, open this url, http://localhost:17012/globalemailconfig.aspx on the Internet Explorer.
You may see the e-mail server configuration page. Just fill out the blanks properly to get the right result you wanted.
However, as you can see, this configurations will be applied to all created sites.
In addition, please check out the 'Project Alarms' feature. You can find this menu from Team Explorer. Just select a Team Project folder you want to check, and then open the context menu. Now, you can find 'Project Alarms' menu item. The title of menu item could be different since I'm using Korean version of TFS ;-)

Thanks for supporting from prasad mamidi and killem. But I inform you that it still not worked. I think and i did but "Project Alert" fueture only alert cho some functions such as
:"Build", "chech in"..., It still not worked with bugs.
In addition, I also config like killem said but I still not get any inform from bug.
