Hello all, I've posted a while back about a concern I had with VSTS and Reports.
VSTS was crashing when switching datasets in the dataset dropdownbox.
I've been told this would be fixed and we are now using Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite Trial and the crashes still occurs.
These are the product we are currently using:
-TFS BETA 3 refresh
-SQL 2005 Standard Edition
-Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite Trial
These are the Repro steps:
I've create a new Business Intelligence Projects-->Report Server Project
I've installed/unzipped the existing reports that were in the MsfAgile_new.zip file from the TFS BETA 3 refresh CD (ISO image)
I've added these reports (.rdl files) into my new Report Server Project.
Added the entire project to source control.
When opening a Report (for example the Bugs Rate.rdl) and going to the DATA tab, the dataset dropdownbox defaults to dsWorkItemHistory when switching to another Dataset from the dropdown, VSTS crashes...
This is annoying since I'm trying to figure out how the reports work.
This P0-S0 bug should not have past QA ;-)
Meanwhile, I'm asking anyone here what's the workaround or is there any quick fix I can use to continue working...
Many thanks in advance!
Sincerely
Vince

You may be able to get it if you call CSS for SQL Server.

We have identified these bugs and gave it to the Reporting Services team. They plan on fixing them in Reporting Services SP1.
(The good news is since we have their early patches we do not see these crashes any more.)
Sorry for the inconvinience.
Thanks,
Dan

Perhaps this is streching it but...would it be possible to obtain that patch ;)
When is Reporting Services SP1 coming out.
