You'll have to be more specific. What "site code" and what "machine ID" - are you referring to some specific piece of technology Maybe a better question is Whose "site code" and shose "machine ID".

I almost get that the Machine ID is created by some combinations of
- The serial number of the primary harddisk
- The MAC address of the network card
- Perhaps serial numberof CPU (if you can retrieve that)
