I'm using Visual Web Developer, and thru the Data Explorer tab, I have created a database with some tables in it. I have alot of data to insert into a table, and I would like to read in an sql script (text file)- that has alot of INSERT statements in it- so that I can upload data to my table without having to laboriously sit in front of my computer and type in the data. I have searched thru all of the pop-up menu options in the Data Explorer, and I have yet to see any facility to be able to load scripts. But since this part of VWD- has every other feature, I can not think that Microsoft would leave this particular feature out. On the "Table" pop-up menu item, there is simply no menu item to load a table with an sql script, and I have checked all of the menu items at the various levels (database node, etc...), and I haven't yet found a way to do what I want.
Does anyone know how to run database sql script files with Visual Web Developer
There must be a way ....
