SQL Licensing

Currently we have a SQL database that we are using to run ACT. I know nothing about that program other than we have approx. 15 users that are currently using it. We have a data management software that I am currently implementing that we will need a different set of 10 user accessing. Our SQL came w/ ACT and we're not sure if we can legally set up another database for our design group to use w/ the data management software. Does anyone know how the licensing works w/ SQL or where I can find that information Keep in mind I'm a designer stuck doing some of the IT work, so if it gets too deep I'll bring in our IT guys, otherwise I am trying to manage this myself since I'll be the one doing the maintenance, etc. on it.

Thank you for any input!

SQL Licensing

    Hi

you either have to licence clients/users + ServerLinense (you didn’t specify the version you are using) or the processors of the machine. Then you are fining, no matter how many databases / instances you are building on the machine / server.
