I go to the Start Menu, then Microsoft SQL Server 2005, then look for Business Intelligence Development Studio and it is not there. I installed everything when I installed SQL Server Developer Edition.
It is only a shortcut to VS2005 devenv.exe anyway, but if I bring up VS2005, it does not display anything about SQL Server on the splash screen (it does on other machines that are configured in a similar manner). It does not show the projects for Integration services where the documentation shows it.
So.. I tried uninstalling Integration Services and re-installing it via Control Panel Add/Remove programs for Microsoft SQL Server. Did no good.
Background: I had installed VS2005 Team Edition Trial, but when I finally got the DVD from Microsoft (a long story - you don't want to hear it) for the Team Developer Edition, I then had to uninstall VS2005 completely and install the Team Developer Edition (per Microsoft instructions). My guess is that this somehow broke the link to SQL Server, but I don't know how to reset it. I suppose I could completely uninstall SQL Server, but that seems extreme, and I'm not sure if that will fix it.
Where is SSIS?
