Despite the documentation for the 2k5 Sample pack, there are not VB versions of the projects included for either of the FTS-related samples. Just a note saying to go to BetaPlace, of which I'm not a member. Does anyone know where these can be found, or has anybody ported the C# projects

Unfortunately, not all of the samples have VB versions. A VB version of the ItemFinder sample is planned to be available in an update to the Samples scheduled for next April. I am unaware of any VB version that may or may not have existed on BetaPlace.
