SQL Express Exceptional error

Hi,

I have this exceptional error when I am accessing SQL Express using MS SQL Server Management Studio Express. Below are the versions I am using.

    I faced another problem while I am using Management studio.

    TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express
    ------------------------------

    Database diagram support objects cannot be installed because this database does not have a valid owner. To continue, first use the Files page of the Database Properties dialog box or the ALTER AUTHORIZATION statement to set the database owner to a valid login, then add the database diagram support objects.

    I attached a MS SQL 2000 database into the MS SQL express using sa login and when I tried to create a diagram, the above message prompted. May I know what is wrong I have created a new database directly from MS SQL Express and when I want to create a diagram, the above message did not show.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This post is now in the SQL Express forum, link to the forum here.

    You can run the alter authorization command as suggested. Could be something like this. Change to be your database.

    alter authorization on database::AdventureWorks to sa

    We've just released an update to Management Studio Express and I would suggest trying that. Management Studio Express is included in both the Express Advanced CTP and the Express Toolkit CTP; take your pick.

    I would suggest removing the November CTP before installing the update, just for good measure.
