Retrieving a rowset from a SSAS drillthrough action

I've posted this in the SSAS forum, but I'm not getting any takers. Perhaps someone here can help.

I've been investigating "drillthrough actions" in SSAS, with the hope of passing the resulting rowset into an SSIS package. A drillthrough action has an "invocation" parameter whose value can be set to "batch". Searching the MS site for drillthrough/action/batch, this description is given for batch invocations:

The action should run as part of a batch operation or an Integration Services task.

Does anyone have any experience with this I've only found examples of actions that are basic drillthroughs and report server actions, none of which show any usage of the batch invocation. Thanks.
