Installation Issue, Scheduling/ Subscription not working

I have installed Reporting Service on a SQL 2000 Enterprise Edition. The scheduling and Subscription are not working. I had to manually start the Reporting Service after installation as i has Sharepoint Server installed.

Is there a notification service or perhaps some other component that i need to start or install to get it to work
