How to install SQL Server Express Management Studio in different folder.

SSMSE installs itself in Program Files.

The installation program does not allow selecting a different folder.

This is a problem for me, I would like to install on a different drive.

Has anyone successfully moved SSMSE to a different folder, and how

Under UI, when you are in the window with "Registration Information", uncheck the box with "Hide advanced configuration options". Then you can customize the path to install Client Components by following UI.

I have same problem - never see a UI. An install window pops up, says it's computing space required, does EULA, does registration name/company, then says there's not enough space on install path C:\Program Files\.... has a Disk Cost button which you can click and see all the other drives (with plenty of space) but no where to select them. I went on and it faults. I unclick 'features' and it proceeds (but the only unclick is to basically not 'install' anything).

Help please... running Win2K on AMD2400 with 512M and ~300 G of hard drive space (although not on "C").

Are you guys installing through a command line or through the UI As Jiongxiong mentioned, there is a way through the UI to select this path.
