Good afternoon everyone I am trying to import data from mas90ODBC DSN into my SQL2005 DB. IN 2000 I was able to connect to an ODBC DSN but it seems that this option has been deprecated in 2005. Can someone please provide me with the best step by step instructions on how to go about importing my data.

MAS90 ODBC database to SQL 2005

You can still do this by connecting through the existing DSN.
In Connection Managers
Right-click and select "New Connection"
Select "ODBC" and click "New"
Click "New…" again
Select the DSN you want to use as a source
Vimal@.Net
Please be aware that the ODBC Connection Manager can only be used with the Execute SQL Task.
In the data flow, you need an ADO.Net Connection Manager, using the ODBC .NET Provider.

Okay, now I am confused...
I am able to use the ODBC connection manager as configured above to extract data through a MAS 90 DSN in the dataflow. Should I not be able to do this
If I change to use the ADO.Net connection manager I can connect through the DSN, but I still have to use the DataReader source in the dataflow to make it work. The only other option in the dataflow is the ADO Source, but I can't get that configured correctly even when using the ADO.Net connection manager.
What is the best practice here
Thanks!

When you use the ODBC connection manager, how are you extracting data in the data flow

Um... you probably should check out Sage Best Talk online because they deal with Mas90. I, on the other hand have similar questions as you do.
