Software Development Network>> SQL Server>> Restarting server
Restarting SQL Server means restarting the service which needs sort of administrative rights on the computer. Anyway, how did you try to restart the service
HTH, jens Suessmeyer.
What i meant was that I am trying to restart the server in Mgmnt Studio from a client machine. I was logged in as 'sa' but the options are grayed out.
If i can connect to it as 'sa' and do anything w/ it, create/alter/delete databases, then why can't I restart it
