In trying to follow the directions to setup log shipping in SQL server 2000 I am having some problems. The option to check "Ship the transaction log to other SQL Server (log shipping)" is not located on the popup screen where I choose the database. It is missing entirely. Am I missing something somewhere and if so can someone point me in the right direction I am using SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition Version 8.00.760(SP3).

Thanks for the response. I suspected as much but the literature is unclear on whcih version of SQL Server 2000 the log shipping is active on. It looks like I need to research on upgrading or an out right purchase of a newer more robust version of SQL Server.

If all you need is log shipping, email me at nylyst[at]gmail[no].[spam]com and I can share some procs I've created just for this purpose. There's no pretty GUI, but the difference in price is because of the additional features beyond the log shipping GUI.

Unfortunatly, out-of-the-box log shipping is only available with MSSQL 2000 enterprise edition.
