Matrix Group By Sorting

Hi Guys

I have a matrix report which is grouped by columns, I know these can be sorted easily in acc or desc order. I want to select a record to be first (ie on the left) now i can force this via SQL but the the other columns are not sorted. Is there a way to force 1 to the left and have the others sorted.
