Hi everyone,
I had an old VisualStudio.Net version thet started going nuts, so I thought its time to install the beta 2 version.
then started the problems ....
when trying to uninstalling the SQL server, the computer shouted it's impossible. so I uninstalled the SQL tools first and then the uninstalation succeded. (it wasn't recommended by the operating system)
after removing everything I wanted to install the new SQL server that comes with the beta 2 kit & I got a weird loop:
the setup wizard said there should be some old SQL components that should be removed by the "build cleanup wizard", but the cleanup wiz. didn't find them!
I went back & forth and neither one of the wizards changed their opinion. one is sure that old components bother him, while the other claims they do not exist!!
I must install the SQL before I install the est of the kit, and I don't know how to get out of this loop.
does anyone have an idea what should I do

ok if you have gutted it that much, im assuming that various bits and bops are still in your system.
For what its worth can you not backup all your data and just go with a clean install
