Hi Group Members
Being a .NET Developer and a MS Server Faimly Product Consultant i am really excited about the new Work Flow (WWF ) believe me the ppl that had work on
SPS 2003 and CMS 2002 will feel a lot more comfartable by seeing a Uniform Platfrom for a WorkFlow Solution , now I got some questions in my mind these are
actually reflection of an Enterprise , client and other individual that at some point of time looking forward to implement the WWF , so lets start , i hope this group we will come out with the best possible answers
Q)I had already a custom WorkFlow soultion build on top of .net , now what are the top 5 do's amd don'ts that i must consider before switching to WWF
Q) I am working with CMS 2002 , which provides the basic workflow (author -->Editor ) , now if i am planning for future what are the most important factors that we had to carter first (e.g context , roles etc )
Q) The initial lookup at WWF gives the impression that The SharePoint Portal Server 2003 can elevate WWF to huge extend , but does the upcomming version will provide automatic support , or i build some sort of support layer for it now and later move it in future .
Q) We already had workflows in place (from medium to lagre sizes ) can we conider a possiblity to shift them to WWF or this will be so resourse intesive task that its not feassible at all

Questions That Strike An Enteerprise Regading WWF
Idev
A1) Well it's early days yet and hard to provide patterns based on long experience with customers using workflow. But I'd suggest do investigate Windows WF and learn about this new technology as much as you can.
A2) Please tell us what are the most important things to you for the future of workflow
A3) Yes. The next version of SharePoint as part of Office "12" will include document workflow based on Windows Workflow Foundation.
A4) You could do this. The amount of work really depends upon what you have built your workflows on top of and how big they are. Perhaps they are coded in a procedural language or perhaps you are using a third parties workflow engine.
