Issue installing VS.NET 2005 on 5308

Hi,

When I try to install VS.NET 2005 Team Ed. Software Architects (RTM) onto build 5308 of Windows Vista the VS.NET installer aborts saying that "my computer does not meet minimum requirements" and that I need to install Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Any ideas

Regards

/Oscar

    Hi,

Are you doing the installation as an Administrator, as I have had a few problems installing VS 2005 as anything other than an Administrator, I have got VS 2005 working perfectly on 5308 and it is now running properly under a standard user account.

Never mind I discovered that Vista had switched on the "XP Sp2 compatibility mode"...

I still have an issue with the installation though (which was the reason to the above..) and that is that the VS.NET setup hangs/crashes somtimes the computer freezes...

Any clues on how to install VS.NET

    /Oscar

I have the same issue, I checked the setup executables on dvd and Vista hasn't marked them for XP SP2 compatibility. maybe I'm not able to find the proper option to disable this, can you help me

    thank you.

I can get it to install, but it won't run.

This is really a problem obviously.
