am using .Net Framework 1.1 and Win2000 Pro... Your link seems to be focusing Framework 2.0 apps. Thanks anyway

You need to really think about what you are trying to achieve with the security aspect of your web service. You might find it better to use the security features of the web service enhancements 3.0.
