Can I ask a question about WinHttpRequest I know nothing about this Com object. But some one using this, seems to be triggering PPC ads that I have with Miva (formerly Findwhat). My IIS 6 log files shows they are downloading the html page but absolutely nothing else, no graphics, menu, images and most important - no order buttons. It also doesn't do javascript.
This has happened about 1400 times and 10 days ago, I stopped all ads. Since then, not a single visit from WinHttpRequest.
This is an entry in my log file:
2005-07-10 00:15:28 69.0.164.108 GET /ballroomcountry/bellydance.htm fw=bellydance 80 - 216.26.145.22 HTTP/1.1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+Win32;+WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5) - - www.centralhome.com 200 0 0 112480 214 921
(next entry from this IP is 9 hours later and again only 1 hit to log file)
I have asked the IP owner and Miva, but neither seems to think it is a problem.
Is there anyway I can find out more - like where they are coming from That IP has no Miva ads. There is no referrer information.
Any help in providing more info would really be appreciated.

This forum is monitored by the System.Net team and is thus designed for System.Net related questions. I have contacted the Program Manager for WinHttp to see if they have a similar forum. I will get back to you with the results once I hear from him. Thanks for your patience.
